The Caber Toss is a traditional Scottish athletic event involving the tossing of a large wooden pole called a caber. Versions of the original game were played by the mountain men during rendezvous.

Scouts and Adult Leaders will have the chance to show their skill and strength just like the original mountain men. There will be individual awards given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Scouts ages 14-15, and Scouts ages 16-17, as well as the Adults.

The rules of the event are simple. The caber may be tossed any way, as long as it flips end over end once. Each participant will have three throws, and the longest of those three will be recorded. The winners are determined by the longest throw.
